Description
Screw Auger Falls at Grafton Notch State Park: This photograph of Screw Auger Falls was taken at Grafton Notch State Park in Oxford County Maine in July 2014. Grafton Notch was carved from glacial ice and is a remote and wild mountain pass at the northeastern end of the Mahoosic Range, marking the northernmost point of the White Mountains. Grafton Notch is located along the Maine section of the Appalachian Trail and crosses here between Old Speck and Baldpate.
