Neal, Your birds photos are fantastic! I really like this little Downy Woodpecker. What is on that tree? Mushrooms? Or is that some kind of Cottonwood? Anyways, I love how you captured the "PAUSE" I like to see when they look like they are thinking, but sometimes I see they are "LISTENING" to the bugs in the tree...I gave it the VFW voted, favorited, watchlisted...and now the Google plus! Love your work Neal~

Kym; Thank you so much!! I am so happy you enjoy my bird photos. It is a local type of local fungus that grows on the trees around here. I don't think it is any harm to the tree and may actually be beneficial to its health.
